The hub adapter features a number of ports: gigabit ethernet, micro/SD card slots, three USB 3.0 ports, 4K HDMI (30Hz), 4K mini DisplayPort (30Hz) and a USB-C Power Delivery port. This means is can fast charge PD-compatible devices (up to 49W). You can mirror two external displays (4K at 30Hz), too. And you can hardwire into the ethernet port and get support fast internet speeds; the hub supports 10/100/1000Mbps.
