Without a doubt, Fender is best known for making the iconic Stratocaster guitar. But the Arizona-based company also produces quite a few other models worth checking out. One of it’s lesser known styles is the Jaguar, an instrument with an offset body, originally produced between 1962 and 1975.
During that time, it was popular with surf rock guitarists, but after it went out of production, it became an onstage staple at punk, alternative and indie shows. During the ’80s, Fender produced a Japanese-made version of the instrument, and in ’99, due to the Jaguar’s underground popularity, the brand began producing the style again in earnest.
