The Arcido Akra Backpack Is A Must-Have For Travel And Day To Day Use

A good backpack goes a long way, and no one knows this better than people who travel. They don’t want an airline stopping them and taking their bag. They want proper storage, as well as an ability to comfortably carry their backpack anywhere. This is where the Arcido Akra backpack comes into play.

This backpack might very well be the best backpack on the market. We don’t blow smoke at Men’s Gear, as we firmly believe this backpack has it all. Let us explain why.

We truly love seeing the proper backpack for all things. If you’re like us, you have one with you when you’re going to stay or explore the outdoors. However, you’ll most often carry one to school or even work. Even random doctor visits.

Some of us even use a backpack when we’re just walking around a particular city.

This is why getting the right backpack for everything is well worth the expense. That brought us to the Arcido Akra backpack. It’s a bag that can do it all, and then some.

Seriously, Arcido thought of quite literally everything.

Major Details About The Arcido Akra Backpack

It took us some time to truly get our hands on the Arcido Akra backpack. When we did, we wanted to look it over and even put it to the test. As people know by now, Men’s Gear does not just praise an item. We will talk about its failure on top of what makes it a worthy item.

We tell everyone that gets in touch with us about this rule. Yet it’s hard to find much bad with this backpack.

This level of trust is important to us, which is why we had to get our hands on the bag and put it through the test. First and foremost, we wanted to look at what Arcido claims they have done to it.

We’re told the Arcido Akra backpack is their best bag, meaning it needs to be terrific if we’d be interested in buying any other product from them.

Included in the bag is a 500D Blendex Kodra body fabric involving a PU coating. The bottom scuff fabric involves 1000D Kodra as well as the PU coating. Of course, PU stands for Polyurethane. When it comes to PU coating and fabric, it helps to repel water and can make something resistant to it.

The higher the “D” count, the more water-resistant or waterproof the item.

With this bag holding up in the rain, that already makes it interesting. However, it can do more than this. Due to the bottom scuff being so highly waterproof, it can hold up relatively well on the water. Of course, you don’t want to dunk the Arcido Akra backpack in the water completely for too long.

It’s has a 150D Premium Polyester Oxford lining, also with PU coating. They really undersell this part of the bag. When we got our hands on it, we could tell the detail was there in the polyester. We could even tell how the coating was keeping everything dry by feeling the difference between it and other bags like it.

Security And Efficiency Of The Arcido Akra Backpack

One of the most important things a bag can provide is essential security and efficiency. After all, you’re purchasing it to keep your belongings safe. Plus, you want to be sure you can store a good bit of stuff inside the bag.

We’re happy to report that the Arcido Akra Backpack certainly passed our tests here.

First, the inside of the backpack is designed in such a way that you can stack a lot inside without compromising the bag itself. We were able to put in about 5 pairs of jeans, 8 shirts, 10 underwear, and 7 sets of socks inside the upper compartment.

It fit all of this comfortably without any risk to the zipper popping off.

There are also proper buckles to keep things like your laptop safe inside. Arcido also added more compartments than the main. There are about 4 compartments you can keep stuff. Two of them are large, both including zippered compartments, some with mesh.

Meanwhile, also including areas for pens, pencils, and laptops.

The other 2 are for smaller items like a passport, wallet, sunglasses, etc. The one at the very front is lined to keep things perfectly dry too.

There are 2 slips where you can put water bottles with two secret compartments next to them to store more material. Finally, the straps are where the efficiency steps up a lot. The back has mesh padding for proper breathability and comfort to your back.

To add security, there’s an adjustable buckle strap you can use to keep the bag on your person.

There are also two padded sides on a waist strap on the bag that can also be buckled to add even more security. Both also have two areas of storage on them, with one being another zippered compartment.

The Big Numbers To Keep In Mind With The Arcido Akra Backpack

Arcido Akra backpack logo

It’s vastly important that you know the bag is relatively sizable with dimensions of 55 x 35 x 20cm. Despite the size of the Arcido Akra backpack, it’s perfectly up to all airline standards. Meaning you can take it as a carry-on, without an issue from the TSA or any other airline security force.

In fact, Arcido designed the bag specifically for use in travel.

Overall, the bag can handle up to 35 Litres or a little over 9 gallons of water before it begins to see issues. Though designed to be used in travel or commutes, it’s also a great outdoor bag. Again, it’s a water-resistant bag and not waterproof.

However, the Arcido Akra backpack held up well in outdoor tests.

This backpack is not completely scratch resistant, but you can travel in the forest or woods with it being scratched a bit. It won’t really show the scratches that it takes on nor will it hurt the PU coating.

It may not hold up to knife attacks, but it’s relatively tough and therefore capable of handling most outdoor activity.

The YKK #5 Reverse Coil Zippers are a nice touch to the Arcido Akra backpack too. They hold up in the warm or cold, and they don’t crack under the pressure of a full bag. They also keep things in.

This might very well be the toughest part of the entire bag.

They also include a washbag and shoe bag for only $15 extra each. Meanwhile, they also have packing cubes and a Vaga Day Pack for $30 and $70 extra respectively. All fit well inside the bag.

Yet they also include delivery for 100% free as well as a 5-year warranty on all of their items, including the Akra backpack.

How To Score A Private Tour At The Louvre Museum

No Paris itinerary is complete without a stroll inside the hallowed halls of the Louvre Museum. Popular works of art, some of which staples in pop culture dialogue, reside here. Seeing them up close would be an experience like no other.

But why not take it further with a private tour around the iconic museum?

As it turns out, you don’t have to be Beyoncé or Jay-Z to score some alone time with Mona Lisa or Venus de Milo. But you do have to have the same amount of paper to show for it. The Louvre Museum Private Tour, which costs $34,000 apiece, begins with a Tesla ride from your hotel to the Louvre Museum’s glass pyramid main entrance.

From there, you’ll be guided through a private, after-hours Louvre tour starting in the medieval section. No other tourists will be there except those as rich as you who snagged a ticket. A historian will take take you throughout the labyrinthine quarters of the sacred space. During which you’ll see highlights like the Winged Victory of Samothrace.

The 90-minute Louvre Museum Private Tour ends on the Pont des Arts bridge, where guests will exit on a private boat for a quaint ride down River Seine.

The solo excursion is obviously far more expensive than the museum’s regular-day admission of €15. But if you think roaming the vast corners and pockets of the Louvre during the quiet hum of night is worth the asking price, then be our guest.

The Louvre Museum houses more than 500,000 works of art, though only 38,000 are exhibited. The pricey Louvre Museum Private Tour isn’t just about luxury, though. It’s also about savoring a handful of the museum’s most treasured pieces without the chaos of crowds.

The kit is lightweight and versatile and comes in a form of a motor wheel and a power pack that is compatible with any type of bike, from road bikes to beach cruisers, big or small, old or new. 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante

Few road cars can rival the Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante, one of the rarest Bugatti models in history and one of the first to come with the automaker’s “low-headlight” design in 1937.

Ettore Bugatti didn’t design this ride himself, though. It’s actually courtesy of his son, Jean. Clearly, genius is genetic, because this car is packing serious aesthetic aplomb. Ettore’s craft certainly rubbed off on Jean, and look no further the the above image if you need proof.

Bugatti only ever built 48 Type 57SC Atalante units. And only 17 of them came with the Atalante coachwork as seen on this particular model now up for auction at RM Sotheby’s. It’s got a twin-cam straight-eight motor, which it borrows from the Type 49. However, it comes modified with a period-correct supercharger.

But beyond the specs sheet, you’ll appreciate this ride’s storied journey. From its completion in 1937 to its complete restoration care of RM Auto Restoration in 2013, everything is well-documented. You’ll learn that Jean Lévy first owned the ride, deputy Administrator of a grain milling company. He later later handed it off to Maurice Weber, a livestock feed manager, in 1941.

But lo and behold, it’s here. In all its vintage glory. Chassis no. 57551, seen above, is one of the most beautiful, desirable, best-performing, and advanced of all Bugatti cars. Pricing is available upon request, but we imagine it will cost a fortune to have this thing in your private collection. You can contact RM Sotheby’s if you’re interested. Gameboy Luggage Cover

Airports can get tiresome, desolate, and sometimes even lonely. So why not give your luggage a bit of flair to counterbalance the depressing, nondescript blandness of jumping from one airport to another?

This geeky Gameboy Luggage Cover by Bioworld is the perfect way to spice things up a bit. For starters, it makes your bulky luggage a little bit cuter. It also makes a statement about how cool you are (and old!). It’s classy, instantly recognizable, and makes your dreary-looking baggage instantly a punch above the rest.

The cover is made of polyester and spandex, which means it’s super durable and should theoretically fit most average-sized luggages. It’s got unisex colors, so it won’t look weird if you’re a guy or a girl. Plus, Bioworld says it’s officially licensed and 100% authentic.

Okay, okay, we know what you’re thinking — how can putting a diaper over your luggage make it look cool? And to that we say, “Touché!” But this is no ordinary diaper. This is a Gameboy diaper, ‘90s nostalgia intact.

Sure, it’s not really clear exactly what the purpose of a luggage cover is. But you can’t deny it looks pretty sick. Bioworld has a bunch of other iconic luggage covers, too. It’s got Legend of Zelda, Harley Quinn, and Super Mario. It’s peddling tons of other geeky stuff as well, like a Pokémon-themed messenger bag and a backpack for Wonder Woman fans.

The Gameboy Luggage cover is available on Amazon for $30. A bit on the pricey side for what it does, but worth it for the extra flair.

Helinox Savanna Chair

What outdoor camping getaway would be complete without the quintessential camping chair? This one, called the Savanna Chair, is from the folks at Helinox, no stranger to making excellent outdoor comforts.

These bring optimum comfort, with the mesh shapeshifting to accommodate the the shape of a person’s back. Elsewhere, you’ll find a nice soft cup holder. Careful not to spill anything.

Amazingly, Helinox managed to keep the chair’s weight at just 4.3 pounds. This despite despite the load-bearing capacity and roominess of the Savanna Chair. Even better, the chair’s frame and cover can be folded down and fit into a 6″ x 6.5″ x 21.5″ sleeve. No fuss when setting up at all, and no fuss when packing up, too.

As for the construction, the frame is made of proprietary aluminum alloy. You’ll find an internal bungee cord that can self-assemble when you’re setting up the whole thing. The seat cover and carry sack, meanwhile, are made of polyester that’s UV-resistant.

LOV 38 Concept By Lynx Yachts

Three big names in the yacht game are responsible for this concept: Lynx Yachts, Omega Architects and Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

That’s why it’s called LOV 38 — get it? Acronymed initials are typically superfluous, but not in this case. Contributions by all three are what make this concept yacht a punch above the rest.

You get a fast displacement hull, courtesy of Van Oossanen. This gives the LOV 38 ample speed while allowing it to maintain stability. The thing is just 37 meters long, and that’s the handiwork of Lynx Yachts since it specializes it 30- to 40-meter crafts. Omega Architects brought flair, flourishing the entire thing with full-height windows, two exterior dining areas, and even a full beam master.

The exterior design has been described as “masculine.” That’s probably because of its near vertical bow and forward inclined wheelhouse. There are full-height windows that wrap around the sky lounge and saloon. Nothing better than natural light spilling in a space like this, of course.

There are a number of customizations available, with three design layouts for either eight, 10 or 12 guests. Those are split into four, five, or six cabins. Included are alfresco relaxation options and an aft lower deck activity center. You get a spacious beach club area on top of everything.

Underneath are 2,000 MTU diesel engines, which translates to a top speed of 21.7 knots. Efficiency increases at lower cruising speeds, though, so it’s better if you keep things at a pretty chill pace. All in all, it’s an incredible-looking yacht. The only downside is that it’s just a concept.

Snowman Glass World Resort

If Finland is you next destination and you don’t have any plans for lodging yet, look no further than the Snowman Glass World Resort.

Sitting in the quaint and cozy city of Rovaniemi, this hotel shelters adventurers with its plethora of luxury glass igloos. Finland has sort of been leading the charge lately when it comes to winter travel accommodations. Just like the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort that went viral a couple of years past, Snowman Glass World is perfect for folks waiting to witness the Northern Lights.

The winter resort, open just this month in Santa Claus Village, is the most luxurious take on the genre yet. Here, there are standalone Scandinavian-style apartments affixed with modern architecture and furnishings. For each cabin, there’s a living area, a modest-sized kitchen, and an upstairs bedroom. Topping it all off are floor-to-ceiling windows for your full view of the snowy landscape and the Northern Lights.

It’s a bit odd that there are private terraces in the hotels given that you’ll be staying here in winter. But here you’ll find a private hot tub and an en suite sauna. Both should keep you pretty warm and snug during the cold season.

Staying at the glass apartments will run you around €496 per night. That’s a pretty penny to spend on accomodation, of course. It does, however, include Wi-Fi. Plus, you’ll get all-day entrance tickets to Snowman Ice World. And there’s free breakfast in the resort’s Restaurant Ensilumi. If you’re headed to Rovaniemi for vacation, then you really shouldn’t miss this experience.

Punta Sirena Hotel

In case you’re bound to Chile for your next vacation, the Punta Sirena is the hotel to beat. This quaint little beachfront retreat stands on stilts overlooking the great Chilean ripples, its rustic charms infusing the traditional surf resort with a fervid, summery vibe.

The T-shaped hotel is composed of intersecting rectilinear buildings, which is unlike most hotels that stand upright. This prevents visitors from having exemplary views of the surrounding landscape from above, of course. But it does ensure the property itself doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb when you look at the beach from a distance.

Make no mistake, though. You’ll still get impressive eyecandy. The rooms are laid out parallel to the beach, and they all feature picture windows so that all customers get a clear view of the ocean. We’d argue this layout is better since it clears up all feeling of distance between you and the beach.

But perhaps the most impressive thing about this hotel is that it’s made entirely out of eucalyptus and pine. It gives the building an intensely native atmosphere. Not only is it a testament to craftsmanship, but its also a commitment to geographical synergy, ensuring that the outdoors is astutely integrated into indoor comforts.

If you’re feeling hungry, there’s a restaurant below that will serve local food as you dine against the oceanic backdrop. And if you’re feeling a wee bit adventurous, you can join local thrills such as wind surfing and kite surfing. All are welcome, even neophytes. There’s a on-site school where beginners can learn the ropes.

A Submarine And A Speedboat In One

Just in case you find yourself wondering where to spend your Scrooge McDuck-levels of fortune next, why not get a speedboat that’s also a submarine? Meet the HyperSub MSV, a hybrid between a speedboat and submarine from HSP Technologies.

The MSV stands for “Multipurpose Sub-Sea Vehicle.” That’s just a fancy term meaning the vehicle can coast over the water and even dock like your everyday boat one second, then submerge up to 500 feet underwater the next. It’ll be like your lair suppose you’re somehow the villain du jour in Scooby-Doo.

But enough with the juvenile humor. Let’s get serious. We’re talking twin 480-horsepower diesel engines here, which means the HyperSub MSV packs incredible power. With those engines, you can travel as fast as 35mph over the water. And as for the sinking component, you’ll find dual 60-horsepower Innerspace thrusters, boosting the vehicle’s total horsepower to 1,080.

The boat also features a 500-mile range and, most notably, a slew of modular equipment, like interchangeable Dry Chambers, that can let customers modify the capacity, payload, battery load, hull configuration, amenities and more to their liking.

The HyperSub MSV also boasts 96 hours of underwater life support. And with 30,000lbs of lift, it has an incredibly safe, cost-effective vessel with enhanced performance capabilities and cargo capacity.

HSP Technologies says the boat is perfect for certain markets, like Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Non-combatant Evacuation Operations, Special Operations Forces, Covert Missions or Resupply, and a lot more. Then again, you can buy one just for the heck of it, no one’s judging.
