Bang & Olufsen Makes Bold Moves with the Beovision Harmony TV

Bang and Olufsen’s Beovision Harmony TV is the brand’s latest 77-inch LG-powered OLED flatscreen and although it’s not a true roll-up TV, it does rise-up, unfold and deploy like a Lambo with butterfly doors. The folding electronic panels are a pair of BeoSound speakers that deliver three-channel audio or can be linked with a surround sound system to create up to 7.1 surround sound. Available October 2019.

LG Introduces First-Ever Rollable OLED TV

LG is dropping lots of fresh tech this week at CES in Las Vegas. The LG Signature OLED TV R is the world’s first rollable OLED TV. Utilizing LG’s second generation Alpha 9 intelligent processor, it delivers industry-leading color, contrast, depth and realism, as well as support for Amazon Alexa and Apple’s AirPlay2. It offers 3 viewing modes & when not in use, the 65-inch screen rolls down & hides away, eliminating the big black rectangle taking up space in your living room.

Sony Introduces Master Series 4K HD TVs

With both LCD & OLED models, Sony’s Master Series 4K HD TVs, according to the brand, “provide image quality approaching that of a professional monitor in a production studio” for your home viewing pleasure.  There are two new models: the A9F (OLED) and the Z9F (LED), which includes the X1 Ultimate picture processor, the most powerful chip Sony has put in a TV yet. Sony has also worked with Netflix to develop Netflix Calibrated Mode to reproduce the same picture quality as a studio evaluation master. Both will be available this fall.
