Just unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas, Samsung’s Q950TS is an ultra-thin 8K TV with a bezel-free QLED screen that stretches to the very edge of its slim form factor. The design eliminates the black edge seen on most screens, allowing viewers to see 99% of the picture as opposed to the standard 95%. It also features a FALD backlight for peak brightness. With the capacity for smooth gameplay at up to 240 fps, it speeds past most PC’s graphic capabilities, so it’s futureproof, at least for now. Resolution is 1440p, so higher than standard 1080 but not quite 4K, what it may lack in resolution, it makes up for in panoramic width—like having 2 monitors side-by-side.
