Adidas Pulseboost HD

If you’re into running quite a bit, you’ve probably heard of the Pulseboost already, Nike’s line of excellent running shoes. The shoes have received enormous praise for their high level of comfort. And they’re also pretty responsive, what with the sock-like Adapt Knit upper and Adaptive Traxion outsole.

Suffice it to say they’re the perfect pair for both those who just decided to get into running or have run aplenty and seek good, reliable kicks. The Adidas Pulseboost HD provide plenty of support and grip, ensuring optimum movement and speed, regardless of what surface you chose to grind them on.

Thankfully, Adidas has just made the kicks a little bit better. The Pulseboost HD shoes come with a brand-new midsole that adds another layer of stability to the already impressively spec’d kicks. HD, here, means “high density. The Pulseboost tech this time hovers closer the the ground, ensuring a refined mix of balance and springiness. In effect, that gives you not only increased efficiency, but also comfort and ergonomics.

You can buy the Adidas Pulseboost HD right now; they became available back in July 13. Like the original Pulseboost, though, it’s going to cost you a bit. The kicks are $140, which is a tad bit on the pricey side but is not surprising of Adidas. Other colorways just became available now. Perhaps if the price didn’t sway you then, these new paints will. Sneaker Politics X Saucony X Cafe Du Monde Shadow 5000

When brands collaborate with one another, it’s usually just two of them on board. However, it seems that these days there can be more than that. Just recently we caught wind of a super awesome partnership between Disney, Reebok, and BAIT. The Toy Story 4 Instapump Fury they’re touting is a highly-collectible pair of footwear with its mismatched style. Now we another three-way on the way with the Sneaker Politics X Saucony X Cafe Du Monde Shadow 5000.

Yes, its a certainly a mouthful when you’re saying it, but we can’t deny that these kicks look absolutely cool. It looks like this collaboration is a sweet homage to the rich cultural history of New Orleans. To be specific, a favorite among locals and tourists who choose to visit and experience the Cajun lifestyle and cuisine. Cafe Du Monde happens to be in the vicinity and so are the delightful beignets. For those how don’t know, these are like doughnuts with a French flair. Hence, they’re naming the colorway Beignet Brown.

The Sneaker Politics X Saucony X Cafe Du Monde Shadow 5000 running shoes have a mesh and leather upper in three shades of brown with bits of white. Just like the colorway suggests, it’s intended to represent the fried dessert. Additionally, another variant is releasing in parallel called Powdered Sugar, which will be available online only. Instead of the mostly brown upper, this one adds some white leather into the mix. Both versions sport a white midsole and green outsole combo with branding scripts in green on the tongues. Only 157 examples will be available and at $120 a pop, you can be sure these will be gone quickly.

Adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Plus

When it comes to technical releases, Adidas is killing it. Its latest, the Adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Plus, is no exception. Combining sharp aesthetics with topnotch utilitarian sensibilities, this new pair of kicks proves Adidas is hell-bent on innovating its technical prowess even further.

The shoes feature all-day versatility, which is to say they’re perfect as your spring or summer fair. That’s really no surprise given this is Adidas we’re talking about — the brand, after all, is synonymous with quality. Although summer’s almost ending, there’s still plenty to gush about here.

Take the street-to-trail profile of the kicks, for example. Not only do you get a shock-absorbing EVA midsole, which makes them ideal for gallivanting around the city, the kicks also have abrasion-resistant upper reinforcements. In other words, Adidas combined durability and comfort and gave it to us in one neat package.

The rubber outsole gets a tough tread, which is a nice touch on top of impressive flourishes found here. That means these are great for hiking trips, too. Though we’d err on the side of actual hiking footwear if you’re planning any backcountry endeavor.

The colorway is red and black, which some people will love and some will hate. That’s fine. This is no emblem of streetwear fashion, after all. That’s not to say, however, that they aren’t stylish. They are. But in a way that prioritizes slickness over style. If you’re not that patient about finding the perfect sneakers and just want a pair that’ll last for a good long while, get this. The Adidas Terrex Agravic Speed Plus is one of the most reliable pairs of kicks you’ll ever purchase.

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 Trail

Nike is bringing back its Air Zoom Pegasus 36 Trail to its rightful place — the backcountry, the outdoors, or wherever it’s perfect to hike through. Arriving for the first since debuting in the 2000s, Nike’s Pegasus 36 Trail introduces some of the original features that made it the choice travel footwear. With hiking-specific modifications thrown in, of course.

For the mesh uppers, Nike added more breathability. The material here can endure any harsh conditions, complete with durable armaments robust enough to survive tough abrasions. But at the end of the day, they’re still the beloved shape, fit and feel of the road runner.

The Zoom Air Elements hide in the forefoot cushion as well as the heel. Enlarged lugs maintain a high level of traction, which you’ll be thankful for when hiking while raining. That’s never a good idea, of course. But fret not about puddles and downpours, as these kicks will make sure you’re always moving and squarely on the ground.

Design is minimalistic, the only highlight being the synthetics in hi-vis Volt. There’s a much deeper green, but only in hints and splashes. A touch of black snakes across the lining, eyestay, and signature Swoosh. It won’t win any awards on aesthetics, but it sure as hell will on design and craft-making.

This pair is available now if you’re in Europe and a member of NikePlus. As for the rest, expect this to go on shelves beginning June 13. Check out below for more photos of the Pegasus 36 Trail, and hit the link for more information while you’re at it.

Parley X Adidas Alphaedge 4D

If you’re thinking that the eco-friendly movement is just for carmakers, then you’re clearly missing out. Widen your search parameters a little bit and you’ll see that there’s more to it than emission-free rides. Doing everything we can to save the environment for future generations has our full support. That’s why we are featuring items that show our readers that sustainability is doable and can be cool at the same time. How, you ask? Well, take a look at the upcoming Parley X Adidas Alphaedge 4D and you’ll understand what we mean.

The German sportswear company is embracing new and futuristic manufacturing processes to create unique kicks. Earlier this month, Adidas unveiled the Futurecraft Loop, a high-performance footwear designed for running and made from fully recyclable materials. Every part of this shoe uses TPU that goes through special processes to make it soft, hard, and even flexible. On the other hand, the collaboration with Parley for the Oceans applies a different approach. Save for the ADIDAS 4D midsole, the upper is crafted from collected marine plastic debris.

Adidas is calling the material Ocean Plastic and credits Alexander Taylor for its application. Other than the sustainable upper, the Parley X Adidas Alphaedge 4D is all about the one-of-a-kind midsole. The company is 3D-printing these using Carbon Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) technology. The process involves digital light projection, programmable liquid resins, and oxygen-permeable optics. You end up with a durable and flexible latticework that offers superior cushioning and stability for casual and athletic usage. We’re hoping that its success will lead to more colorways other than the Aero Green it comes with.

Nike Zoom And Off-White Unveil Terra Kiger 5 For Stylish Athletes

Frequent Nike collaborator Virgil Abloh is at it again with these new Terra Kiger 5 colorways, of the Nike Zoom and Off-White outfits.

The entire collection, dubbed Athlete in Progress, salutes the unbreakable confidence held by runners. In addition, they take the enduring, impassioned power of marathon runners and form into a silhouette that balances performance and post-run aesthetics.

You’ll find an array of track-oriented running spikes on the bottom of the shoe’s Zoom sole. They make the pair perfect for on and off-road adventures. There are technical lacing anchors here, too. Plus a lightweight upper that provides cloud-like support to make sure you’re unburdened while hightailing across the field.

“I started talking with Nike about this women’s running project last summer and at the time, I was very much inspired by the aesthetic and style of track and field athletes,” said Abloh. “As a result, I invited some of Nike’s elite track and field champions to participate in my SS19 Off-White runway show as the natural forerunner to developing and showcasing the collection.”

If you’re big on Off-White branding, you’re not going to like the detailing work on these kicks. They appear a bit on the lace-tag, secured atop the shoe’s specifically developed tongue. However, this is merely a minor blemish on an otherwise excellent pair of shoes, to be sure. And you’ll be focusing on running, anyway, to care much about that.

Nike is releasing three Terra Kiger 5 colorways. One’s a White, Metallic Silver, Sail, and Safety Orange combo. Another’s an Electric Green, Metallic Silver, and Sail combo. The final one’s a Black, Metallic Silver, White, and Pink Blast combo. The kicks come out June 27.

The Adidas Futurecraft Loop Is A Fully-Recyclable Running Shoe

The sad fact remains that a lot of people still find the concept of recycling foreign. A large number of countries struggle to control the growing amount of waste that ends up in landfills. That’s why it’s great to see some companies take the initiative to create products that source recyclable materials. We recently featured a Bluetooth speaker with a shell made out of plastic bags. There’s also a high-end wristwatch that reuses PET for its strap. The possibilities are practically endless and that’s why the Adidas Futurecraft Loop is another brilliant step in the right direction.

Our biggest challenge is coming up with new ways to repurpose non-biodegradable trash. Normally, these are either buried, burned, or just end in landfills or the bodies of water. The German sportswear company is introducing its first footwear that uses fully-recyclable materials in its construction. Moreover, the Futurcraft Loop is a running shoe, which will all know will eventually wear out from all the abuse. Hence, its an impressive solution to reduce waste every component of the shoe can be reused.

According to Adidas, all of the different parts of the shoe are made of TPU. Each component just undergoes a unique manufacturing method to make it rigid or flexible. Moreover, it’s surprising to discover the Adidas Futurecraft Loop does not use any type of glue. Instead, it undergoes a special heating process that bonds everything together. For its initial rollout, the company is planning to produce 200 examples only. All of the prototypes will be handed out to runners to get feedback regarding its performance. We might see it eventually hit retailers sometime in 2021.

Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next%

Yup, still with the percentage sign on the name. It’s really called the ZoomX Vaporfly Next%, but that’s where the blemishes stop. When you get over that odd moniker, there’s just so much to admire in Nike’s new trainers.

To make this marathon-ready pair, Nike sought feedback from its cache of world champion runners. And thus comes the new ZoomX Vaporfly Next%, an evolution from the brand’s Vaporfly 4%. Featuring Vaporweave, a new material construction that’s lighter than flyknit, these shoes are a lot more breathable and absorb less water from sweat or rain.

The ZoomX Vaporfly Next% marathon shoes also feature offset laces to reduce pressure on sensitive areas of the foot. Nike added extra Zoomx foam in the midsole, plus custom traction patterns for increased grip in wet weather. Nike listened well — traction improvements came from data by Eliud Kipchoge, Mo Farah, and Geoffrey Kirui.

Even with all these new upgrades, the pair weighs exactly the same as its predecessor. This should perhaps come as no surprise, as Nike always excels when it comes to streamlining design to cut bulk and fat.

“This shoe is truly the result of our athletes, sport scientists, engineers and designers closely collaborating throughout the entire process of design, testing and manufacturing,” says Nike.

The company is set to debut these kicks during the forthcoming London Marathon. It has also prepared a special release for those who really want a pair. Nike will offer limited quantities of the ZoomX Vaporfly Next% via the Nike Run Club App. They’ll cost $275 once released, which surely isn’t cheap even by Nike’s standards. But all evolution comes with a price. You can hit the link below for more information.

ZDA Marathon Trainers

The ZDA Marathon Trainers may just be the perfect pair of kicks for spring. These vintage Czechoslovakian sneakers, recreated for modern wear according to ZDA, draws inspiration from kicks marathon runners wore from the 1950s all the way to the 1980s.

As for the construction, you’ll find a treaded rubber outsole paired with Italian suede and leather making for an organic, aesthetically swell combo. Stylish but understated, a highlight not wanting to show off too much. Pai them with light wash denim and a plain white T — it’ll work. Or of you’re going out for a quick jog, slap on some trainers and your good ol’ hooded pullovers. That works, too.

There are a number of color options on stock at Huckberry. Get a pair or two so you get some much-needed rotation for your streetwear game this season. They’re super comfortable thanks to additional foam midsoles, too. And they’re ultra stylish, and as straightforward as trainers can get. And like we mentioned, they blend well with casual get-ups. So you can slap them on for a quick coffee run if your old Nikes are looking a bit dirty.

You might even get away with wearing something more formal with this pair. We won’t judge, don’t worry. They might work, anyway.

Granted, they’re a bit pricey at $230. And you might find something else more worthy of those hard-earned bucks, like perhaps conventional Adidas trainers. Or some New Balance kicks. But if you want to brag that your shoes are Czechoslovakian, buy this pair.

New ASICS GEL-SAGA Pack

Originally unveiled back in the ‘90s, the ASICS GEL-SAGA is a pair of iconic, tried-and-tested running shoes named after the Norse goddess of poetry and history Saga. Fast forward to today and we’ve got ourselves several sweet new colorways which comprise a GEL-SAGA pack for modern runners: black, maroon, and white.

Runners with their fair share of style history know that GEL-SAGA shoes has remained one of the most recognizable and reliable silhouettes worn not just by runners but sneakerheads alike. They won’t hold a candle to your Nikes or New Balances, to be sure. However, they’re still preferred by a lot of runners when it comes to heavy-duty stuff.

Not to say the brand has been completely devoid of style because of its utilitarian first design, though. Over the years, this label has also been mired in various collaborations with other big-name designers. Names like Ronnie Fieg, Saint-Alfred, Concepts, and many others come to mind. As such, the new pack is perhaps the most stylish GEL-SAGA entries we’ve ever seen from ASICS.

You’ll discover a bunch of updates in this new pack. Of note is each pair’s upper, which has been constructed using a mixture of Japanese premium synthetic microfiber suede and lightweight unlined open mesh. The soles varies for each pair, raised just a bit to give you some much-needed boost while running. You’ll find GEL-SAGA and ASICS branding on the heel counter, sole, and tongue. Also of note is the reflective detailing on the heel.

We know this won’t be your go-to pick for a stylish streetwear-ready look. But suppose you do go with them, they’ll still look good on you. You can pick up all three colorways starting October, with each pair retailing for approximately $140.
