Bentley Starts Building Luxury Homes – Bentley Tower Announced in Miami

Bentley has announced plans to launch the first Bentley-branded luxury residential tower in the world. Bentley will partner up with Dezer Development to build and design a residential tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Miami.

The Bentley residence tower will focus on luxury living in a sustainable environment and will contain 200 luxury apartments built in topnotch design and quality. The tower will stand at 749 feet and contain over 60 stories high making it the tallest residential tower on any US beachfront. The tower development will adhere with the Florida Green Building Council (FGBC) certification and environmental regulations to protect the environment and minimise the effects of the development on local wildlife by using safe building materials and reducing coastal lighting that could endanger sea turtles.

The core of the building will feature patented car elevators, an in-unit garage for each residence, ocean and bayside views thanks to the cylindrical design and floor-to-ceiling windows, private balcony, pool, sauna and an outdoor shower. The tower will be engineered and built to reduce energy consumption as well as inspire luxury living.

Each apartment interior will contain sourced materials and amenities including a gym, spa, whiskey bar, restaurant and a private garden. The chairman and CEO of Bentley promises that the partnership with Dezer Development will only result in authenticity, sustainability and innovation both on the interior and exterior spaces as well as create an extraordinary living experience. The construction of the tower will begin in early 2023 and will be completed in 2026.

Swiss Miss House

This Swiss Miss House wows with an A-frame roof. Care of renowned architect Charles DuBois, the residence looks perhaps the most unique in its mountain neighborhood. The six-bedroom mid-century property features floor-to-ceiling windows and a touch of monolithic walling in the exterior.

It’s yours for $3 million if you want it. If you’re a fan of double-height living rooms, consider it money well spent. The spacious living area comes with a stone fireplace and tongue-and-groove ceilings. It all comes together care of the teak cabinetry, evoking the spirit of Palm Springs.

The chalet-esque bungalow also has a gourmet kitchen, and outdoor boom-a-rang bar, dual tanning shelves, among other inspired polishes and touches. Outside, there’s a pool. Perfect for raging summers.

The house sits in the highly opulent neighborhood of Vista Las Palmas. The place, in case you didn’t know, served as the home base of Hollywood’s biggest stars during the 1950s. The Swiss Miss House is, similarly, a star among many in the area. Its A-frame is a highlight among a handful of whiz-bang details.

Inside, the Polynesian design bleeds all throughout the space, and sharing that vibe are the subtle tropical flourishes. It’s an interesting contrast: an island atmosphere right in the middle of the harrowing desert. It’s like a summer vacation country club, but Charles DuBois-chic. Check out more photos below to get a sense of how deftly warm and cozy the place is. If only Mad Men had shot in this place during its California era.

James Dean’s House, Yours For $3.9 Million

James Dean’s old Hollywood Hills house is now on the market for several million bucks. It wasn’t actually his house, though — he only lived in the downstairs suite during his days as a struggling actor; the house was owned by Hal B. Wallis, who was the former head of Warner Bros.

According to The Agency, which is listing the historic property, the home used to be one of the “entertainment hubs” of the Hollywood Hills. Once, at a party there, a casting director saw James Dean and apparently “liked his look.”

In fact, he liked James Dean so much so that less than a month later, he was cast in Rebel Without a Cause, which later became one of the actor’s most iconic films.

The cozy little Spanish-style home was built in 1927. That said, it’s recently been restored, its quaint charms now given a modern facelift. The eat-in kitchen has been updated with new features like marble countertops and Viking appliances, for instance.

It has three bedrooms, four baths, and a swimming pool to boot — 4,000 square meters all in all. Of note is the master bathroom flecked with gray tile and gold accents under the sink. Spacious dual walk-in closets also come standard.

Despite its modernities, the house retains many of its original elements, such as fireplaces, arched doorways, and exposed wood beams, giving it a uniquely nostalgic atmosphere. This house probably appeals to you on charm and sentiment alone, especially considering James Dean has historic footprints all over the place. But if you don’t care much for the actor, the house itself is still pretty rad.
