For 2020, Land Rover is Bringing Back the Defender

The last iteration of the legendary Land Rover Defender was discontinued in 2016 but for 2020 it’s back and the design is all new. And more good news: it’s definitely coming to the USA. So far, all we’ve got is a fresh set of spy photos to ogle & we’re hoping we don’t have to wait too long into 2019 to see it undressed in all its boxy glory.

This is the Most Advanced Charcoal Grill We’ve Ever Seen

Triple Michelin-Star chef Heston Blumenthal has just launched the 4K, a new charcoal-fired barbecue grill with Australia’s Everdure. The renowned British chef says the grill design is “inspired by the 4,000-year tradition of Kamado-style and man-made ceramic clay cooking.” Charcoal is ignited with the press of a button & the grill gets super-hot, enough to cook a perfect Neapolitan pizza in just 2 minutes. In addition to high heat & giving you an award-worthy sear, it also functions as a slow cooker & smoker. Can be controlled remotely using the dedicated app.

Aston Martin’s hotly anticipated Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake has just been officially unveiled. This sleek, limited edition 2-door, 2-seater “wagon” is powered by a 580-horsepower naturally aspirated 5.9-liter V-12 and features a curved V-shaped glass roof, a luxe saddle brown leather interior, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Only 99 will be made.

Triumph Rolls Out A Shred-Ready 1200cc Scrambler

As if their 900cc retro off-road Scrambler wasn’t powerful enough, Triumph is rolling out a 1200cc model for 2019. Powered by the motor from the Thruxton R, this new, gnarlier Scrambler features a design deliberately executed to blur the lines between a retro scrambler and a more modern adventure tourer. It will be available in two models: the 1200 XC and the fully-loaded, more off-road friendly XE, both featuring improved electronics, including bluetooth & GPS, as well as an app that will help manage all your trip data, calls, and performance feedback data.

Hoversurf Has an Electric Aircraft Unlike Any Other

The Hoversurf Hoverbike is a recreational aircraft that combines a drone-like design with a body & driver experience that looks something like a PWC, except this thing literally flies. With its monocoque carbon fiber body & 12.3kWh lithium-manganese-nickel battery, it can fly up to 16-feet above ground at speeds up to 60MPH. Flight time ranges from 10-25 minutes with a pilot on board to 40-minutes in drone mode.

BMW Unveils the X7, Their Biggest SUV Ever

BMW just revealed its largest SUV yet. The X7 offers 3-row seating for 6, a more squared-off outline and body, and also has a gargantuan grill. The biggest one the brand has ever made. It will be offered in the U.S. with your choice of a 335 hp 3.0-liter inline-six or 456hp 4.4-liter V-8. Both with pretty impressive MPG numbers given its size. This new big-boy Beemer will also be built in America.

Triumph Rolls Out Updated Street Twin & Street Scrambler

For 2019, Triumph has upgraded its entry-level classic Street Twin and Street Scrambler. The bikes both got a 10-horse power upgrade to their shared 900CC parallel twin motor, up to 65hp. They got improved suspension, Brembo brakes and streamlined ergonomics. Both bikes also got some aesthetic updates, like new handlebars & LED lighting. Triumph also offers “inspiration kits,” which allow riders to easily customize their bikes.

Mercedes-Benz Introduces EQC Crossover, Its First All-Electric Production Vehicle

With the unveiling of the EQC crossover, Mercedes-Benz is stepping squarely into the ring with its first full production, all-electric vehicle. At the same time, they’re launching a whole new automotive division, called simply EQ. This new mid-size  SUV is all wheel drive and powered by a pair of electric motors, one up front and one in the back. Its 200-mile range is pretty impressive and so are the other numbers: 402 horsepower and 564 pound-feet of torque. The interior, details and design language all draft off the latest iterations of the current lineup. The forthcoming EQC will be ready for public consumption at some point in 2020.

Audi Adds the All-New Q8 SUV to its 2019 Lineup

For 2019, Audi is introducing yet another luxury SUV. The forthcoming Q8 is wider, shorter, and more streamlined than any of its brethren. It also features a 48-volt mild hybrid drivetrain paired with optional 6 and 8-cylinder gas engines. Stock 22-inch wheels add to its more sport-aggro look and still it features four-wheel drive: a classic Quattro system with 40/60 rear bias split. Available stateside in Q1 of 2019.

Royal Enfield Rolls Out the Limited Edition, Military-Inspired RE Classic 500 Pegasus

In homage to the iconic two-stroke ‘Flying Flea’ used by British soldiers in World War II, the UK’s Royal Enfield created the RE Classic 500 Pegasus, a military dressed version of its Classic 500.
