2019 Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster

The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT R is one sexy looker of a coupe. Sleek lines, awesome power, exceptional handling, and a rich racing heritage make it a desirable ride. However, there’s always those who prefer to take to the open road with the top down embracing the wind. The German carmaker really knows how to please its crowd, which is why we’re getting a top-down version soon. The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster taking everything its sibling does great and throws in a little more.

Knowing that the coupe version is a big hit with consumers, the German company is taking a careful approach. It’s keeping all of the good stuff that we love and repackaging everything with an option for open-air cruising. Other than the retractable roof, the Roadster version is essentially sporting the same specifications.

You have a 4.0-liter AMG twin-turbo V8 that pumps out 577 horsepower that makes it go from zero to 50 in just 3.5 seconds. In the proper conditions and location, the Roadster can push for speeds up to 197 miles per hour. All of this awesome power courses to its wheels via a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch transmission.

It’s a pleasure to drive the 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster knowing that it handles like a charm. The active-aerodynamics system sitting just below the engine keeps your ride stable even at high speeds. Another welcome feature involves a special inlet system that distributes air to key components that need cooling. Don’t let the cold stop you from driving with the top down, because the premium Nappa leather seats come with climate control and AIRSCARF neck warmers. Only 750 units are in line for production so you better hurry up and reserve yours now.

2019 Bentley Continental GT Number 9 Edition By Mulliner

To remind us of how long certain manufacturers have existed, special edition items are usually in order. These serve to commemorate their achievements and to show off some of the best that they can do. 2019 already has its fair share of awesome rides that are on their way to showrooms later this year. Let’s check out another one that’s recently making a splash across the automotive industry. The 2019 Bentley Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner.

This exceptional ride reportedly pays homage to Sir Henry Ralph Stanley Birkin, an iconic member of the original Bentley Boys. This awe-inspiring luxury vehicle apparently draws inspiration from the former’s famous Blower that won the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours race. Making its debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the British carmaker is employing the expert hands of Mulliner to deck out this fancy automobile. To celebrate its 100 years in operation, the Number 9 Edition will have an exclusive run of only 100 examples.

You’ll notice that the grille bears the number 9 as a nod to the race care familiar to fans of motorsports. Lucky owners can have it in Beluga Black or Viridian Green, which are both equally stunning options. Additionally, the interior upholstery comes in either Beluga or Cumbrian Green leather upon request. In place of some of the chrome components of the base model, you’ll find black accents instead. The 2019 Bentley Continental GT Number 9 Edition by Mulliner is also sitting on four bespoke 21-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the center dial of the rotating dashboard includes a wooden insert from the original Birkin’s original Blower car.

The Bugatti La Voiture Noire Is A $19 Million One-Off Monster

When it comes to insanely-priced motor vehicles there’s no shortage of models that fit the bill. You have exotic beauties such as the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, Lamborghini Veneno, W Motors Lykan Hypersport, Ferrari F60 America, and so much more. However, it looks like we’re crowning a new king at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. With the arrival of the Bugatti La Voiture Noire, the list needs to change. It currently holds the title of being the world’s most expensive car at $19 million. What’s even crazier is that someone already bought it.

The La Voiture Noire commemorates the luxury carmaker’s 110th anniversary. Bugatti credits the elegant Type 57 SC Atlantic as the source of inspiration for this menacing beats. This bespoke beauty is a one-off model clad in a sinister black finish. It will soon be sitting in the garage of its affluent and lucky buyer. Meanwhile, Stephan Winkelmann, the president of the French car manufacturer reveals that “the Atlantic is one of the icons of Bugatti’s rich history” and we agree with him.

Everything about the Bugatti La Voiture Noire just screams awesome. Lurking deep within its stunning dark chassis is a monstrous 8-liter V16 engine that roars to life with 1,479 horsepower in tow. Sure, there are existing rides that far surpass its power, but let us remind you that this is a stock model. There’s no need for any after-market tweaks to enhance its performance. Swing over to its rear end and check out the unique six-tailpipe configuration. This remarkable design just goes to show that this devilish ride means business.

Brabus 850 4×4² ‘One of Five’ Final Edition

Automotive enthusiasts would argue that the stock configuration for most vehicles are already the best there is. Nevertheless, you should note that these are purists who enjoy their rides without the fuss. On the other hand, other gearheads would love to argue that aftermarket customization can elevate everything to another level. To prove that latter’s point we ask you to check out the Brabus 850 4×4² ‘One of Five’ Final Edition. This beefy souped-up luxury SUV is ready to take on the highway or even traverse off-road pathways for your enjoyment.

This noteworthy project starts off with a stock Mercedes-AMG G63, which is already a capable ride on its own. The name is definitely a mouthful but is probably appropriate given the number of tweaks it comes with. Starting with the engine, Brabus is swapping out the original twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that produces 577 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. In its place, they’re putting in a 6.0-liter V8 pushing the envelope up to 838 horsepower with 1,069 lb-ft of torque. With the new powerplant in place, the SUV goes from zero to 62 miles per hour in less than five seconds.

Tackling unforgiving terrain should be effortless with the 23.6-inch ground clearance given by the SUV’s custom portal axles. Furthermore, each of its 22-inch MB wheels is equipped with Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires. Other exterior upgrades include carbon fiber elements, front/rear skid plates, and carbon fender flares. The Brabus 850 4×4² ‘One of Five’ Final Edition is certainly not skimping on quality, elegance, and performance.

Chanel SS19 Skateboard And Surfboard

If someone tells you that a luxury brand is planning to make surfboards and skateboards, you’d probably say they’re crazy. We’re probably going to have the same reaction, but it’s becoming a reality soon. As insane as it might seem, the Chanel SS19 Skateboard and Surfboard are both, in fact, actual products. Given the brand’s luxury appeal, the items will practically cost an arm and a leg. To be honest, it’s no surprise that the land-based item retails for $7,500, while the water-friendly model goes for $8,900 a pop. Nevertheless, the two products will certainly appeal to a specific market of affluent consumers who will add them to their collection.

The one responsible for this extravagant lineup is none other than Karl Lagerfeld, the luxury label’s creative director. In the past, this iconic designer also worked on other projects such as motorcycle helmets, ice skates, and more. Fans of his signature style will no doubt snap these up without question. According to reports, these new items are part of the marque’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

For the Skateboard, you’re getting a stylish wooden deck with a coating of black lacquer. The bottom portion flaunts a diamond pattern with the double C in the middle. Meanwhile, the top features a grip tape surface with the iconic logo under and embossed panel right in the center. The trucks and hardware are all in black with a few white accents that accompany the color of its wheels.

On the other hand, the Surfboard is apparently using aluminum, glass, and polyurethane for its construction. It showcases a silver paintwork with the familiar logo close to the tail. Buyers can grab the Chanel SS19 Skateboard and Surfboard from the official web store or from select stores across the globe.

Hennessey Performance 2019 Lincoln Navigator

Depending on the shop, customization options can range from simple to insane. For example, taking a stock vehicle and boosting its power and performance. Just a couple of weeks ago, we featured a 2019 McLaren 600LT Spider that got a remarkable upgrade. The original engine was already generating around 592 horsepower, after several tweaks, we’re looking at an 800-hp monster. Now, the same remarkable team of tuners is back on point with the Hennessey Performance 2019 Lincon Navigator.

It looks like they’re holding back a little this time around with just a modest bump in power. Nevertheless, packing in more horses under the hood is always a good thing. The default 3.5-liter Ford EcoBoost V6 twin turbo goes from 450 to 600 horsepower. They’re calling it the HPE600 package and it also includes other modifications to improve handling and performance. Track tests show that the luxury-grade SUV can zoom from a standstill to 60 mph in less than five seconds.

Other than power and speed, the Hennessy Performance 2019 Lincoln Navigator gets a couple of other stuff. Modifications include a stainless steel exhaust system, a high-flow air induction system, and an air-to-air front-mounted intercooler. Owners can likewise avail of a set of 22-inch wheels wrapped with performance rubber alongside the lowering kit option. Despite the changes, the Jet Black vehicle still retains its stunning aesthetics. There’s no telling what the shop’s next project will be, but we are definitely excited to feature more of their work in the future. Perhaps we’ll see overkill items such as the 1,200-hp Jeep Trackhawk and others.

Top 13 Most Expensive Rolex Watches In The World

Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s Gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual — $440,000

The 13th most expensive Rolex watch in the world in our list is the Gold Oyster Perpetual that was once owned by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first president of India, hence the name. Aside from its jaw-dropping estimated value of $444,000, this elegant timepiece also has a rich story that comes with it and how it came into being.

Rolex had custom made the Gold Oyster Perpetual for Dr. Prasad in 1950 to commemorate India’s first Republic Day. Some say that this special wristwatch was given to the president as an inauguration gift.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s Gold Oyster Perpetual is completely made of 18-karat pink gold. The watch’s custom dial in black and blue features a map of undivided India. It also displays January 26, 1950, India’s first constitutional day, etched across it.

In 2011, this exorbitant priced Rolex watch was supposed to be put up for the Sotheby’s auction for important timepieces that belonged to well-known leaders from around the world after World War 1. However, the Indian government stepped in on Prasad family’s stead.

Apparently, the historical watch was reportedly stolen in 1964 and made its way back to Geneva, Switzerland 47 years later. Sotheby’s had to postpone the auction while the authorities do their investigation on the theft case.

In addition, there are two more Rolex timepieces worth mentioning here. First is Steve McQueen’s Rolex Submariner, which costs about $234,000. This invaluable watch debuted in the year 1967. The fans of the iconic actor saw him wearing this piece named after him in the 1971 movie, Le Mans.

The other one is the Rolex Platinum Pearlmaster 18956 that has a price of $276,000. This Rolex watch is ultra-rare in contrast to the brand’s image of understated elegance.

The Platinum Pearlmaster 18956 wristwatch is bedazzled with real diamonds encrusted lavishly in its platinum case and bracelet. The watch has a total of 71 baguette diamonds and inner bezel engraving.

So, there you have the list of the most expensive Rolex watches in the world. As it appears, Rolex is simply synonymous to extravagant luxury that only a privileged few can afford in a lifetime.

Paritetboat Looker 370 Glass Bottom Boat

The Looker 370, Partiteboat’s latest addition to its excellent fleet of glass bottom boats, is a feature-packed ride that goes easy on your pockets.

In terms of aesthetics, the newest ride borrows the graceful elegance of its bigger sibling, the Looker 440GB. Not only that, but it also carries over the seaworthiness, comfort, passenger capacity, and the utility. The best part? You get all that for the price of a practical base model Looker 320.

As for propulsion customization, you can pick between two options. Select from either the two outboard engines or go for just one inboard diesel. In this regard, the Looker 370 is the most cost-effective glass bottom boat solution. Especially when it comes to passenger capacity and speed.

The boat is made from a special sea aluminum alloy that is corrosion resistant. And since this is a glass bottom boat, you’ll find a large glass viewing bottom area for spectacular views of the sea. The glass is made from ultra-durable modified acrylic that’s apparently far more robust than fiberglass. Translation: it’s nearly impossible to break. There are bow seats round the glass for passengers, as well.

The Looker 370 is able to accommodate up to 30 passengers. Options include a storage room, a toilet room, a sink, a rain awning, and a bow anchor device. You can also get an additional 250-liter fuel tank, marine battery, navigation lights, and a number of GPS systems.

The Looker 370 glass bottom boat is now available for sale. Hit up Paritetboat’s website for more details on equipment, specs, and layout.

Chulhun Design Valkyrie Superyacht

If you don’t know know who is Chulhun Park is, you’ll do now. This yacht right here is the product of Park’s genius.

The South Korean chief designer at Latitude Yachts shows off this elegant silver superyacht, which might be a concept at the time being, but could soon be actualized. Park hopes to team up with Palmer Johnson Yachts to make this behemoth of a dream into a reality. Called the Valkyrie, will be the largest superyacht once it’s completed.

The luxurious Valkyrie Superyacht spans 229 meters, eclipsing the current largest superyacht in the world, Azzam, by 49 meters. The Valkyrie has enough rooms to accomodate a total of 52 guests in 26 super lavish cabins. That’s on top of 92 crew members onboard, by the way.

The Valkyrie includes a full-sized casino, art gallery, convention hall, and a theater. In that regard, it’s almost like a full-fledged cruise ship.

In terms of specs, the Valkyrie Superyacht will come equipped with a trimaran hull from Palmer Johnson. That means less drag at high speeds for optimum stability.

But perhaps the most wonderful aspect of this ultra-posh superyacht is that you don’t need to be super rich to get in. You’ll need heaps of money, still, of course, but you don’t have to be Oprah-level rich. Park wants the Valkyrie Superyacht to be a public vessel instead of some exclusive venue for the three-comma club. That’s a billion-dollar club if you’re not versed on rich people lingo.

Suffice it to say that such an enormous and opulent concept will require enormous amount of time. Not to mention topnotch engineering. And money, as well — the build is estimated to cost somewhere around $800 million.

TEC Accessories Ko-Axis Rail Pen

The pen is a simple writing instrument that everyone takes for granted. You can easily grab one almost anywhere in case you need to scribble something on a piece of paper. Now, with the cutting-edge technology of mobile devices, it’s pretty much optional. Since the invention of the modern pen, even the latest offerings follow the same form factor. You have a small tube with a roller or a nib on one end. However, the cylindrical shape makes it susceptible to rolling. That’s why the TEC Accessories Ko-Axis Rail Pen hopes to address the issue with its unique design.

This is unlike conventional offerings that sometimes use plastic and flimsy metals. The Ko-Axis Rail Pen sports an all-metal construction and exudes a tactical vibe. You have a combination of different materials that provide top-tier durability. The craftsmanship is superb with its stainless steel rails, a bronze grip, and aluminum to keep its weight manageable. You’ll notice that this EDC does not come with a cap. That’s because the writing tip is retractable and relies on neodymium magnets to hold the slider in position.

Not only does the wider design keep it from rolling, but it also provides a comfortable grip for writing. Moreover, once your ink runs out, you can quickly swap it out with a standard D1 refill for convenience. Overall, the TEC Accessories Ko-Axis Rail Pen looks, functions, and feel premium. The standard model in various color to cater to your style. Additionally, if you’re willing to spend a little more, a titanium version is available. This year started off with a bang for the automotive world when the 2019 Detroit Auto Show came with guns blazing hot. During the show, the launch of the 2019 Toyota Supra, the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe, the Subaru STI S209, and more left us wanting more. Hence, the announcement of an-electric hypercar from a dormant vintage brand is another sweet surprise for all of us. The upcoming Hispano Suiza Carmen will be making a big splash at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show soon. The official website is already teasing a silhouette of its design that’s making gearheads giddy.

We already know that this classy ride will be causing a big fuss among collectors. That’s because the Spanish carmaker is planning to release only 19 examples worldwide. The official page is already accepting pre-orders, so there’s a high likelihood that all slots are already taken.

Comprehensive information regarding its specifications and performance remain relatively scarce, save for a couple of details. The EV’s name is reportedly an homage to the founder’s granddaughter. It will be drawing inspiration from the 1938 Dubonnet Xenia, an automobile that was revolutionary during its time. The Xenia was commissioned by André Dubonnet, a French flying ace and racecar driver.

According to insiders, the Hispano Suiza Carmen will sport carbon fiber monocoque chassis. QEV Technologies, a well-known team of specialists with extensive experience with EVs in general, will be handling its powertrain. The source material is a breathtaking beauty of automotive excellence, so we’re expecting nothing short of a masterpiece at launch.

The Seberg By Jacques Marie Mage

If you’re on the market for a new frame that’s fancier than your current pair of shades, look no further than the Seberg.

The latest from luxury eyewear manufacturer Jacques Marie Mage comes as yet another testament to its unrivaled attention to detail. The company’s unparalleled craftsmanship shines through in this beta titanium frame.

The Seberg is the namesake of Jean Seberg, who starred in Breathless, one of the most iconic French New Wave staples. Like the 1960 Jean-Luc Godard picture, the Seberg is elegant, delicate, and intricately made. Jacques Marie Mage picked the perfect name for its new frame. Hopefully Masculin Féminin or perhaps even Pierrot le Fou make the cut in the company’s next brainstorming session. Why stop there, though? The eyewear maker might as well lift inspiration from a few François Truffaut films while it’s at it.

Anyhow, more about the frame. You’re looking at a ’50s-inspired silhouette that’s modernized with titanium. The result is a nuanced combination of the past and present. Other impressive details, such as the 4mm rim wires and the monoblock titanium hinge construction, take the spectacles away from conventional luxury tropes and put them in a category like no other. The sculptural brow bar is a nice touch that brings the entire look together.

For shades, shelling out $895 is no doubt a bit too much. But not if you want your frame to be as incandescent, iconic, and timeless as the film upon which it’s based. Check your fit and sizing on Jacques Marie Mage’s website now.

Hennessey Performance Unveils The 2019 HPE800 McLaren 600LT

It’s been barely a month since we witnessed the arrival of the 2019 McLaren 600LT Spider. So, imagine our surprise to discover the existence of the 2019 HPE800 McLaren 600LT by Hennessy Performance. Everyone is aware that the stock model is nothing short of a beast, but upgrades are always exciting. Therefore, let’s go on a tour to explore the changes that elevate the everything the supercar has to offer.

Just like in recipes, adding some special sauce can really enhance the flavor. Essentially, we are referring to a bump in power. As such, the existing 592-horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine gets a significant nudge up to 800 hp. This project is far from the insane overkill of the 2,000-hp 2005 Ford GT from the folks over at Heffner Performance. We still can’t fathom how the staggering number of ponies under the hood can still make it a street-legal ride. Nevertheless, let’s get back to what makes this British number so special.

While details surrounding its upgrades are scarce, sources claim that the existing carbon fiber MonoCell II chassis is now lighter. Experts from Hennessey Performance wants to make the 2019 HPE800 McLaren 600LT ready for the track and at home on the streets. Given that the stock vehicle is already a masterpiece of design, it’s good to see minimal changes to its appearance. Aesthetic-wise, the exterior is immediately recognizable as the latest longtail. Likewise, the cabin flaunts plush Alcantara upholstery that oozes opulence all the way. We can’t wait to learn more about this custom in the future.

The Casio MRGG2000RJ-2A Is A Samurai-Inspired Luxury Timepiece

Talking about top-tier wristwatches, it’s easy to overlook other brands that might have something exclusive to offer. For example, we immediately associate Casio with its G-Shock and Pro Trek series of timepieces. That’s because these models are some of its most popular products and the outstanding durability is remarkable. However, we want to remind everyone that the Japanese watchmaker produces a lineup of luxury-grade timekeepers as well. One such item that earns the spotlight is the upcoming Casio MRGG2000RJ-2A and it’s an absolute looker.

The company reveals that it is a limited-edition release for its MR-G label and features unique materials. It appears to be a follow-up model to their samurai-inspired MRG-G1000B-1A4 Akazonae and oozes the same vibe through its design. In order to withstand all the abuse that you throw at it, the watch uses titanium for the case, clasp, and back cover. Moreover, Casio claims that the material goes through an innovative hardening treatment that makes it five times more durable than before. The dial sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Meanwhile, the inner coating of the lens ensures optimal readability and clarity.

What makes the Casio MRGG2000RJ-2A stand out from its brethren is the one-of-a-kind bezel. The elegant purple finish is the result of its Arc Ion Plating (AIP) process that gives it the color. Additionally, a mix of Murasaki-gane and Cobarion make the bezel two to three times tougher than steel. You can also check out the case back which features a special inscription engraved by Teruhira Kamiyama, a well-known Japanese bladesmith.

Dozens of supercars amassed in alleged $364 million Ponzi scheme

Federal prosecutors in Baltimore have issued a 14-count indictment against three men accused of using a Ponzi scheme to defraud investors of more than $364 million, saying that two of them diverted the money in part to amass a jaw-dropping portfolio of 28 mostly luxury automobiles, supercars and motorcycles, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royces — and one Ford Explorer.

The indictment, unsealed Tuesday but filed Sept. 11, identifies three defendants: Kevin B. Merrill, 53, of Towson, Md.; Jay B. Ledford, 54, of Westlake, Texas and Las Vegas; and Cameron R. Jezierski, 28, of Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to the cars and motorcycles, it accuses them of diverting and concealing $73 million of investors’ money intended for consumer debt portfolios to purchase and renovate high-end homes in several states, jewelry, boats, a life-insurance policy and a share in a jet plane.

Prosecutors are seeking forfeiture of the following cars and motorcycles from Merrill:

  1. 2014 Ford Explorer

Prosecutors also seek to recover the following vehicles from Ledford:

  1. 2016 Ferrari 488
  2. 2016 Tesla Model S
  3. 2015 Bentley Flying Spur

Prosecutors say that starting in early 2013, Merrill and Ledford persuaded investors to join them in purchasing “consumer debt portfolios,” which are made up of defaulted consumer debts to banks, credit card issuers, student loan lenders and other entities, sold in batches to third parties that try to collect on the debt — so yes, this already sounds super shady. The defendants allegedly falsely claimed they would use investors’ money to invest in the portfolios and make money for them by collecting on payments people made on their debt or selling the portfolios for a profit to third-party debt buyers.

Instead, the government says, the defendants falsely represented who they were buying the debt portfolios from and how much they were paying for the portfolios, whether they were investing their own funds and their track record of success. Prosecutors say that at times, there wasn’t any underlying debt portfolio purchased with investors’ money and that the defendants “created imposter companies with names similar to actual consumer debt sellers or brokers and opened bank accounts in the names of those imposter companies.” They also allegedly created false portfolio overviews, sales agreements with names and forged signatures of actual employees of the portfolio sellers and other falsified records.

According to a related civil complaint from the SEC, victimized investors include small business owners, restauranteurs, construction contractors, retirees, doctors, lawyers, accountants, bankers, talent agents, professional athletes and financial advisors in Maryland, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, Las Vegas, Texas and elsewhere. There are believed to be more than 400 victims across the country. “Most of these investors are just learning that they have been victimized,” U.S. Attorney Robert K. Hur said in a statement.

Anyone who believes they may have been defrauded is urged to contact the FBI at MerrillLedford@fbi.gov. You can read the full indictment here.
