Save $330: The headline says it all. The Dyson Ball Upright vac, equipped with the cyclone suction technology you’ve no doubt heard about in TV commercials for nearly a decade, is $330 cheaper than normal. Put another way, you’re saving exactly one 5.5-quart Le Creuset by buying.

It should be noted that these Dysons are refurbs, but importantly that they are manufacturer refurbs, meaning Dyson has received them, patched them up, rigorously tested them and released them anew. — Will Price

There’s an Insane Sale On Top-of-the-Line Motorcycle Helmets Right Now
Save Up to 53%: Your motorcycle gear isn’t something to take for granted. What you wear when you ride can literally save your skin, so it’s worth investing a little extra money to make sure you’re protected as well as possible.
However, while the motorcycle lifestyle can have a tantalizingly low cost of entry compared to owning a car, buying the necessary protective clothing — pants, jackets, boots and especially helmets — can quickly run up a steep tab, making the cheaper, lesser options more attractive, even if they may not be quite as good.

Right now, however, is the time to upgrade your head protection if there ever was one. Right now over at Revzilla, there’s an insane sale on top-of-the-line motorcycle helmets. You can save up to $800 on select top-tier motorcycle helmets from brands like Schuberth, AGV and Bell. If you’ve always wanted the performance and protection from one of the best motorcycle helmets available today (and really, why wouldn’t you want that?), now’s your chance to save a few hundred dollars and upgrade your lid game at the same time. –Bryan Campbell

Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2
Save $92: We are several weeks into fall now, but it still feels like summer. Which means we are looking for any excuse to get out and soak up the sun. And it’s even more of a thrill to do so with a brand-new pair of running shoes — especially when you can score them at an awesome discount. Nike’s helping make that possible with the promo code “SPRINT” which scores you 25 percent off select items through Thursday.

Use this link to see exactly which items qualify for the discount code, and you’ll see it’s especially runner-friendly, in part because a lot of these shoes are already discounted. Examples include the Epic React Flyknit 2 (up to $75 off), Air VaporMax 2019 ($76 off), and Air VaporMax Flyknit 3 (up to $76 off).

The sweetest savings, though, apply to the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 in the steely blue colorway shown above. Combine the promo code with the existing discount and the price of this shoe drops from $180 to $88. That’s the kind of deal that’ll brighten your day no matter what the weather is looking like. — Steve Mazzucchi

Kershaw Knockout Damascus
Save $88: Damascus steel isn’t just for show. Knives that use it are most obviously characterized by the undulating patterns in their blades, but the involved process of making it — a century’s old method involving the layering of various types of metals — is known to create a final product that’s also incredibly strong. Utilized in a pocket knife, it makes for a tool that’s unique in both aesthetics and effectiveness (and, typically, expensive).

An excellent example of the application of Damascus steel is Kershaw’s Knockout. Kershaw conceived the EDC folder as uncompromising; it uses the company’s Sub-Frame Lock, in which a section of a handle is cut out to make room for a steel insert that bends inward when the blade is deployed to hold it in place, like a traditional frame lock. That construction allowed Kershaw to use aluminum for the rest of the handle, keeping the overall build lightweight yet sturdy. It’s a win-win that compliments the qualities of the Damascus steel blade, making for an exceptional everyday knife that, at the moment, is nearly $90 off. — Tanner Bowden

Lodge Cast-Iron Skillet
Save $15: Point blank: there’s not an American-made piece of cast-iron out there that is a better deal at retail price than a Lodge. The only widely-available producer of American cast-iron cookware has been cranking out all manner of cookware from the same factory in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee for more than 120 years. When treated right, their skillets can last a lifetime for what a trip to the movies costs. Lodge’s 9-inch skillet will fit a large steak just fine, is more maneuverable than its larger cousins and takes up less precious cabinet space. It also happens to be the perfect size for a dual serving of crispy, hearty breakfast hash. Just saying.

The Perfect All-Weather Motorcycle Jacket Is $200 Off, But Act Fast
Save 35%: Good (or bad) news, everyone: Autumn is officially here. On the bad side, that means the balmy days of summer are now officially behind us until 2020, and the chill of winter lies dead ahead, like an iceberg in the path of our Titanic. On the plus side: At long last, it’s fall — the season of football, crisp air, fiery foliage, Halloween and Thanksgiving.

The seasonal transitional also means that, for many of us, it’s time to change out our riding gear for something a little heavier. Then again, if you have the Dainese Corbin D-Dry motorcycle jacket, you don’t really need to. This cowhide coat is well-ventilated enough for summertime riding, thanks to large mesh panels, but a thermal liner can be popped in to add insulation for cold-weather rides. And while the leather can wick away water just fine on its own, there’s a waterproof D-Dry membrane for really rainy conditions. Mix and match the combinations as needed, and you’ve got a Dainese jacket good for spring, summer, winter and fall alike.

And for the next few days, you can snap up this riding jacket for $200 off at RevZilla as part of their weekly sale. — Will Sabel Courtney

The North Face Griffin 65 Pack
Save $109: Ever since we got a sneak preview at Outdoor Retailer last year, we’ve been huge fans of The North Face’s Griffin 65 hiking pack. This pack is so well-designed and user-friendly, it claimed one of our OR Editor’s Choice Awards.

Want to grab one for yourself? You can currently save nearly 37 percent ($109) on this pack at Moosejaw. Use the promo code SOFTPRETZEL to claim the full savings, but like the headline says, there is indeed a catch. Though the Griffin 65 is available in three colors, the only shade with this level of savings is the Asphalt Grey/Tin Grey variety — which to the untrained eye looks a heckuva lot like black and white. All-Clad Stainless Steel Cookware
Save Up to 70%: All-Clad’s covetable cookware has been the option for high-end stainless steel since the brand literally invented bonded cookware in 1971. The only knock against them? That price tag.

This Simple-Yet-Iconic Motorcycle Jacket Is More Than Half Off Right Now
Save 56%: These days, motorcycle jackets come in all shapes, sizes and materials. But there’s nothing like the classics. Dainese knows all about that; the company has been whipping up bike gear since 1972, a legacy that has helped it become one of the best-known, most-dependable names in motorcycle safety equipment.

And, speaking of legacy — Dainese’s Legacy jacket is currently on sale for an impressive 56% off right now on RevZilla, selling for a mere $200.

The Legacy is simple, by modern motorcycling standards; it’s made of grain cowhide with a cotton liner, and features pretty much extend to a pair of pockets outside and one within, as well as slots to slide armor in at the elbows and shoulders. But considering the proven name of its maker and this low, low price, it’s hard not to see this as a perfect addition to your spring and fall riding gear. — Will Sabel Courtney

Danner Jag Hiking Boot
Save $70: Not unlike vegans and CrossFitters, some technical hiking boots just can’t wait to let you know what they do. And that’s all well and good, but sometimes you want something a bit more… understated. You know, something you can wear around town without looking like you just came down off Pike’s Peak.

Enter Danner’s retro-styled Jag Boot, which almost looks like something you’d be more likely to encounter at the local skate park than the backwoods. And yet it still packs a technical punch, thanks to Danner Dry inserts that stand up to rain, a breathable mesh lining, comfy Ortholite footbed and grippy waffle sole. The combo of appearance and performance makes for a very versatile shoe — and one that’s hard to pass up when it’s up to $70 off at Backcountry. — Steve Mazzucchi

Roomba i7+ Robo-Vacuum
Save $100: When we reviewed iRobot’s i7+ robo-vacuum, we called it the best robo-vacuum you could buy. But we did so with one caveat: price. The full setup — which includes the vacuum and its charging and trash-dumping base — starts at $1,099. Today on Amazon, the cost is slightly more wallet-friendly.

Marked down $100, the i7+ is the first robo-vac to empty its dust contents for you. Once it senses its dustbin is full, it locks itself into its home base and deposits the trash inside (the base can hold around 30 Roombas worth of trash). It also retains “mission” data every time you send it out to clean, and it uses that data to more quickly clean your home on future missions. It’s all controlled through iRobot’s smartphone app. — Will Price

Nike Epic React Flyknit 2
Save $50: When Nike announced React foam in 2017, it promised the impossible: foam that’s lightweight, durable, and provides ample cushioning and bouncy energy return. Nike’s materials scientists tested more than 400 chemical combinations until they found the perfect mix, which the first delivered in basketball footwear. But React found its stride after Nike injected it into the Epic React Flyknit, a running shoe that gained a considerable following throughout 2018.

It wasn’t surprising that the Epic React Flyknit 2, released earlier this year, would also be a success. It features the foam that’s embedded in its name as well as Nike’s sock-like knitted upper, Flyknit. But for the follow-up, Nike tweaked that part of the shoe’s construction: the upper is stretchier, more supportive, and comfier with a lower heel cuff. Right now, the shoe is $50 off on Nike’s website. — Tanner Bowden

Apple Watch Series 4
Save up to $100: Apple officially announced the Apple Watch Series 5 last week and, in doing so, also stopped selling the Series 4, presumably because it’s slightly too similar to the new flagship offering, with the exceptions the Series 5 has an always-on display and a new sensor (a magnetometer) that allows it to work as a compass, showing you which way you’re facing while using Apple Maps. The Series 5 also comes in titanium models, although those are significantly more expensive. That said, it’s a great time to shop for the Apple Watch Series 4 because it’s on sal. It also has a bunch of the newer features that the Series 3 lacks, including fall detection, a built-in EKG and a variety of fitness features. If you shop on Amazon right now, you can buy a Series 4 with cellular for as little as $399, which is $100 off. If you don’t need built-in LTE, which I’d argue that most people don’t need (nor do they want to pay the extra $10 each month on their phone bill), you can get a pretty good deal on GPS-only models of the Series 4, too. — Tucker Bowe | grey_placeholder

Ghost SL AMR X 5.9 AL mountain bike
Save $1,020: As fun as mountain biking is, the barrier to entry is much higher than it is for other backcountry activities like hiking and trail running. Getting that first bike is a huge and intimidating investment. However, if you are willing to look past the big names, there are some amazing deals to be found. That’s how we came upon the Ghost SL AMR X 5.9 AL, which is already quite reasonably priced and currently available at a discount of 30 percent ($1,020) right now at REI.

Though it might not have the highest Q rating, Ghost is legit. This particular aluminum-frame model boasts full suspension with 150mm of tunable travel, a 1×12 drivetrain for easy shifting, hydraulic disc brakes and beefy 29-inch tires for tackling tough terrain no matter where you choose to ride.

That’s a helluva lot of value for under $2,500. Bonus: just think how cool it will be to start referring to yourself as a Ghost rider.

Kershaw Natrix Pocket Knife
Save 47%: Not all knives initiate with a designer’s sudden burst of inspiration. Some, like Kershaw’s Natrix, are simply the lowest branch on a family tree of blades that came before. Kershaw built the Natrix as a direct descendant of the 0770, which is made by its sister company, Zero Tolerance. And that knife is based on the ZT 0777, which won the award for Overall Knife of the Year at the 2011 Blade Show.

But even without its famous lineage, the Natrix stands on its own as a high-quality pocket knife that strikes a balance between tactical and contemporary aesthetics. It uses Kershaw’s patented Sub-Frame Lock, in which a section of a handle is cut out to allow for a steel insert that bends inward when the blade is deployed to hold it in place, much like a traditional frame lock. It’s a mechanism that allows makers to provide ample security while using different handle materials. Save $65: The Global kitchen knives are made of Yoshikin’s (its parent company) proprietary Cromova 18 steel, a semi-mysterious mixture of chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, and is semi-analogous to VG-10 stainless steel, a popular steel for both Japanese and western-style kitchen knives. The key difference being, due to higher (though undefined exact percentage) chromium levels, it’s significantly hardier than VG-10, and most stainless knife steel in general. This means it’s unlikely to chip, is supremely corrosion resistant and doesn’t stain under any circumstances. Naturally, you do lose just slightly in the edge-holding department, and it’s not as easy to sharpen as softer steels (this is the balance of hardness and toughness versus cutting utility).

On all Global knives, as noted above, the handle is an extension of the blade. This is incredibly useful for an everyday kitchen knife, as there are no nooks or crannies for food particles or moisture to hide in and ruin the knife. The lack of bulky handle also allows the knife to be incredibly lightweight, but still well-balanced (to achieve this, the handle is hollow and filled with sand).

Today on Amazon, Global’s G-2 Chef’s Knife is on sale for $95, matching the lowest price on record on the platform. — Will Price

This Iconic Motorcycle Jacket Is a Steal Right Now
Save 43%: Belstaff has been producing legendary motorsport apparel for nearly 100 years. Born from motorcyclists’ universal need for sturdy all-weather gear, Belstaff made a name for itself with its waxed-cotton-and-leather equipment. Developed for racers and adventurers, these jackets largely lived on the fringes until they were carried into the mainstream on the back of actor/racer/badass Steve McQueen. And if, like McQueen, you have your eye on a Belstaff, now is the time to pick one up at RevZilla.

The Belstaff Brooklands Jacket is an eight-ounce waxed cotton classic buzzing and ready for two-wheeled adventure. The Brooklands is made with removable armor in the shoulders and elbows, as well as a sleeve in the back to insert further protection. The Brooklands jacket was made with its namesake race track in mind, with an added padded layer for extra safety. The jacket is not only made for a tightly-tucked cafe racer, it’s such a stylish design, it can be worn right off the track and straight to dinner.

Buy this piece of gear as beautiful as it is rugged while the getting’s good. And the getting’s real good. — Peter Corn

Oakley Airbrake XL Prizm Goggles
Save up to $108: If Abraham Maslow worked at a ski shop, he’d tell you that after your skis, snowboard, and boots, goggles are the most important piece of mountain equipment you can own. Goggles are annoying to buy though. A good pair will often cost well over $100, while an affordable $30 lens will fog up before you make it out of the lift line and fall apart before your trip is over. But being able to see the snow beneath your feet is of the utmost importance, so our advice here is straightforward: spend more money on a decent pair of goggles.

The good news is that if you do your shopping ahead of time — as in, now — you might find a great deal on goggles from last season. We dug one up for you: Oakley’s Airbrake XL, which features the company’s contrast-boosting Prizm lens tech. New, they’ll run you $240. But with a discount at Backcountry, you can pick up a pair for more than $100 off that price. The catch? Only a handful of colors are available with the deepest discount, but others are marked down nearly as much. — Tanner Bowden

Patagonia Stretch Rainshadow Jacket
Save 25%: Umbrellas are easy to hate. For caving in at the first threatening gust of wind, for holding their spikey arms at eye level, for taking up more than their share of sidewalk space. Rain jackets, on the other hand, do the same job of warding off precipitation without such a fuss. What’s more, their hands-free method of keeping dry makes them better for things like hiking, riding bikes and working outdoors. One of our favorites for all of these things, Patagonia’s Stretch Rainshadow Jacket, is currently 25 percent off at Backcountry.

The two and a half layer rain jacket is more breathable than other similar coats, which helps in these early days of fall when the temperature hasn’t fully dropped. Plus, when it does get hot, there are two underarm vents to help shed heat. The Rainshadow is also great because, as its full name implies, its nylon material is stretchy instead of stiff, which makes it great for activity (we even take it backcountry skiing). And on top of that, it’s exceptionally light, so you can shove it into your bag without a thought, even if the chance of rain is only 10 percent. — Tanner Bowden

Catalinbread Belle Epoch Guitar Echo Pedal
Save $32: Now at Guitar Center, you can save $32 on one of the best echo pedals for guitar. The Catalinbread Belle Epoch Tape Echo was inspired by the iconic Maestro Echoplex EP-3 tape delay and packs all its nuanced features into a small, easy-to-use package.

The Belle Epoch features a Mix knob to control volume, a Rec Lev knob to control how hard the delay is hit, a Mod knob to control the amount of random tape flutter, an Echo Sustain knob to control the number of repeats and an Echo Delay knob to control delay time.

Normally $210, the Belle Epoch is now $178 at Guitar Center. If you’ve been searching for a great echo pedal to add to your rig, don’t pass this one up.

Fluance Turntables
Save Up to 16%: Fluance is a Canadian audio company that makes some of the best entry-level turntables and bookshelf speakers you can buy. And right now through September 16, you can get a great deal on its entry-level turntables if you shop on Amazon. The Fluance RT81 ($250 $210), which is most review publications’ pick for “best entry-level turntable,” and the Fluance RT80 ($200 $170) are both on sale. The main difference between the two is that the RT81 has a solid wood plinth, as opposed to the RT80’s hollow one, so it’s better at preventing vibrations. The two turntables have a built-in preamp that you can turn on or off, enabling you to buy upgraded external pre-amp further down the road if you so decide.

Additionally, the Fluance Ai40 ($250 $210) powered bookshelf speakers are also on sale, but only in black. — Tucker Bowe

Lodge 12-Inch Cast-Iron Skillet
Save $13: Good news: Lodge’s 12-inch skillet is marked down to just $15 at Sierra Trading Post. Its 10 inches of cooking space (the 12-inch designation refers to a wall-to-wall measurement, not cooking space) is the ideal size for most stovetop burners — any bigger and heat distribution issues are exacerbated, any smaller and you sacrifice meaningful cooking space. Plus, unlike Lodge’s behemoth 13- and 15-inch pans, the 12-inch will actually fit in a kitchen cabinet. As with all Lodge pans, the 12-inch comes pre-seasoned and ready to cook out of the box. — Will Price

Now’s the Best Time to Buy Winter and Snow Tires
Save $80: Do you live in a part of the world that regularly sees snow fly? Then you need winter tires for your car. Winter-specific rubber is the single best feature for any car that finds itself navigating snow and ice — better than four-wheel-drive, better than plentiful ground clearance, even better than seat heaters. (Well, the latter might feel like a bit of a toss-up sometimes.)

With Labor Day fresh in the rearview, odds are good winter driving is the last thing on your mind right now. But this deal is big enough to warrant snapping your thoughts ahead a few months: Right now, Tire Rack is offering $80 in savings when you buy a set of four winter tires. (The money comes in the form of a prepaid Mastercard the company mails to you, but hey, saving are savings.)

The eligible list of tires stretches longer than that skid mark you left when you were 16 and lost control during your first winter behind the wheel; the sale includes 15 types of Michelins, 14 types of Pirellis, nine varieties of Goodyears, 4 types of Continentals, and a whopping 18 types of Bridgestones. Suffice it to say, if you can’t find tires for your car here, you might want to consider trading in for a new model.

BioLite Emergency Prep Kits
Save up to $75: Emergency preparedness is no joke, but taking it seriously doesn’t mean you need to dig a concrete bunker in your backyard. Beyond a plan of action, it’s smart to have a few essential items stashed away in a known place. BioLite is removing the guesswork from creating that gear list with its new Prep Kits, which cover light, power and drinking water for different living situations (there’s a solo kit, an apartment kit, and a family home kit).

The Prep Kits are essentially BioLite product bundles that bring together its HeadLamp, SunLight, and SolarHome with LifeStraw’s portable water filtration systems. In doing that, the company is cutting the total cost of these individual products by 15 percent, which levels out the family kit by $75. All together, these items are still small, highly stashable and efficiently provide survival basics should the power and water go out. — Tanner Bowden

Eddie Bauer Summer Sale
Save 50%: In 2017, Eddie Bauer released its EverTherm Down Jacket and changed our perception of what down can look like. Rather than a horde of tiny feathers stuffed into horizontal baffles, EverTherm’s insulation is arranged in fabric-like sheets called Thindown. The construction prevents the need for that quilted look but also eliminates cold spots created by stitching, producing more warmth for less weight.

The EverTherm’s innovation was undeniable on paper, and when we put the jacket to the test, we found that it wasn’t all marketing jargon. The coat is impressive, and it’s certainly worthy of use in the mountains and around town, too, considering the lack of baffles makes it look less technical than most down jackets, which could be a boon to city-dwellers. For these reasons, we named it one of the best of the year and included it in our guide to the Best Down Jackets.

The EverTherm is only in its third season, but with Eddie Bauer’s current sale you can snag it for 50 percent off. If you need a down jacket for the inevitable cold of fall and winter, the EverTherm is a great option to consider.

Global Ukon Chef’s Knife
Save $60: When Komin Yamada first designed his bizarre take on the Japanese chef’s knife, it was sacrilege. Today, it’s one of the best values in the kitchen knife world.

From tip to handle, Global knives are single, continuous pieces of stainless steel. To keep the blade down, it’s weighted ever-so-slightly toward the tip. The heel of the knife (where the blade drops off into the handle) curves more gradually than a standard Japanese knife, making it much easier to choke up on. An array of golf ball-like divets designed to keep the blade firmly in hand, even the grips are odd. Despite the unfamiliar design, the knife was given a prestigious Good Design Award a few years after its 1987 launch, and was later awarded a Good Design Long Life Award for its staying power.

Global’s knives haven’t changed much since, and today one Amazon of its latest is heavily discounted. The Ukon 7-inch knife is a slightly thicker and heavier version of the classic G-2 knife, and you can get it for $90 instead of its regular $150 today.

Bonavita 8-Cup Coffee Maker
Save $38: Functionally, a drip coffee maker must only possess a tank for water, a water heating element and a basket to hold coffee grinds. This one-touch 8-cup Bonavita coffee maker, along with 24 other coffee makers in the world, has these things, but also satisfies the highest standards known to drip brewing. These drip makers are all certified by the Specialty Coffee Association, a non-profit coffee trade organization.

Its list of drip makers is tiny relative to the number of drip makers out there, and this probably won’t change. To be certified by the SCA a company must submit its machine for thorough testing to the SCA, testing that will determine if the machine is capable of brewing a pot to the “Golden Cup” coffee standard, and if it does so within a specific amount of time (4 to 8 minutes), at a specific temperature (195 to 205), with razor-sharp uniformity and consistency and preferably do all of this in a machine that fits under your cabinet.

Dive deeper into the SCA’s standards and it will become clear why so few achieve this certification, or, pick up Bonavita 8-cup drip coffee maker, which is on sale at the lowest price we’ve ever seen it. Dainese Misano D-Air Perforated Jacket
Save 48%: In case you hadn’t figured it out yet, motorcycles aren’t as safe as cars. No matter how much defensive and proactive riding we do, life on two wheels out on the open road is inherently more dangerous than driving. The best thing motorcycle riders can do to keep themselves safe, then, is wear the right gear — an armored jacket, pants, boots and gloves — to stave off possible injury.

Even then, though, it’s always not enough. Seat belts just aren’t an option on a bike…but these days, airbags can be. Dainese took a giant leap forward with its top-of-the-line riding gear incorporating the D-Air system. And right now, you can get the Misano D-Air Perforated Jacket for $700 less than it normally costs.

Using a wireless airbag system, microprocessor, internal sensors and a GPS system, a D-Air equipped jacket can determine if an accident is imminent and deploy extra protection in less than 15 milliseconds to protect the riders shoulders, collarbone and body. The inflated airbags will also mitigate helmet roll in an accident, keeping your lid from making direct contact with the collarbone. It’s a technology only top-level MotoGP riders and racers had access to until recently, but now it’s available for street riding…and right now, it’s 41% off. — Bryan Campbell

Au Sabot L’Armor
Save 50%: Au Sabot’s sheepsfoot knife references sailors though, not shepherds — specifically, 19th Century sailors embarking from England with a similar looking tool called The London. Characterized by a straight cutting edge and a spine that curves down to meet it at the point, sheepsfoot blades were ideal for seamen because the wide angle of the point helps prevent accidental puncture while, say, working on rigging while floating on an undulating ocean. The flat edge is ideal for slicing and straightforward cutting tasks. Sheepsfoot knives are practical by design, a fact that hasn’t changed in over two hundred years — today, the shape is often favored by emergency response teams.

Au Sabot’s L’Armor pocket knife still has that function at its heart, but it adds an appropriate amount of flair too. The four-inch blade is made of Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, a well-rounded Swedish steel known for its hardness and toughness (it’s often used to make ice skate blades) and is available with handles made of palo santo and olive. Both are currently available at Huckberry at a 50 percent discount.

Part of its allure, other than improving your TV’s sound, is that Command Bar has built-in Amazon Alexa — similar to the Sonos Beam. This means you can use your voice to do things like raise or lower the TV volume, play music from Spotify or Pandora or control the smart home devices in the rest of your house, should you have any.

L.L.Bean Labor Day Sale
Save up to 76%: Since its founding in 1912 by Maine woodsman Leon Leonwood Bean, L.L.Bean has produced a number of products that have become so recognizable that they transcend the brand name. Most of these things are rooted in utility. Its first item, the Maine Hunting Shoe, became somewhat of a draft for the universal Bean Boot and its omnipresent canvas tote bags originally hauled ice and wood. That function-first ethos still exists in the newer things, like school backpacks and synthetic jackets, that the company produces today.

All of these things, and many, many more, are currently on sale through Labor Day for 70 percent off plus another 20 percent off after that with the discount code GREAT20. That math comes out to potential savings of 76 percent. Below are some of the things that we’re pulling out our wallets for. — Tanner Bowden

Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket
Save $100: Since it came out in the fall of 2017, Patagonia’s Micro Puff Jacket has been our choice for the best synthetic insulated jacket. Simply put, it strikes the perfect balance of warmth and weight (it’s the lightest insulated jacket that Patagonia has made to date). The secret to its innovation is a new type of insulation called PlumaFill that’s made up of down-mimicking polyester fibers that are secured together in one continuous, fluffy line, which zig-zags around beneath its ripstop nylon shell.

The Micro Puff has been such a success that Patagonia used it as the base for the Micro Puff Storm, a waterproof version of the jacket that came out in Fall 2018. Patagonia also recently released the Macro Puff, a heavier and warmer puffy jacket that uses a heartier helping of PlumaFill (and will likely be in as high demand as the Micro Puff).

That Patagonia has released variations of the Micro Puff by no means makes the jacket obsolete. If anything, it’s further verification that it, and it’s fluffy filling, work pretty damn well. Not just in winter either — the Micro Puff’s lightweight warmth makes it ideal for cool autumn nights and mornings as well as mountain adventures, too. Right now the Micro Puff is 40 percent off in past season colors — a savings of $100. — Tanner Bowden
