Y7 Yacht

If you follow yachts at all, you might already be familiar with the work of Michael Schmidt Yachtbau. His latest creation is the Y7 Yacht, a towering beauty with heapings of Scandinavian design.

The 70-foot S/Y Bella is the first of the new Y7 range. It’s built in Germany and comes with a smattering of really cool stuff, like carbon fiber masts and trees. That’s standard, by the way. There are five different below-deck layouts available, with the standard design containing a main bedroom, VIP cabin, and a saloon.

The other layouts, meanwhile, offer two cabins brimmed with double beds. Another one has an office area, even, just in case you need to work even while at sea. The rear of the yacht includes a tender garage to which dinghies or jet skis may be attached.

At just 29 tons, this is one of the more lightweight yachts we’ve seen. But make no mistake — this thing packs heft, with nearly 300 square meters of sail area. This allows the boat to move on wind power when other similarly sized yachts are still running their engines.

The hallyards, sheets, and stretches are hidden to the steering columns, allowing the helmsman operate alone. Sure, there are more sophisticated yachts on the market, especially if money is not a problem for you. This, however, comes as a refined experiment on minimalism and maritime prowess, and you shouldn’t skip it. You can find more information about this new yacht by hitting the link below.

1958 Riva Tritone

This 1958 Riva Tritone was built as a gift for Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Nicknamed “Via,” this is one of the rarest boats you’ll ever come across on RM Sotheby’s lot.

The Prince and his wife, the great Grace Kelly, enjoyed riding it for several years. During which time it came tailed with the personal flag of Monaco and the prince’s own flag. The Prince would eventually move on and replace this darling beaut with a Riva Junior. Even still, Riva itself took care of it, and thus remained in Monaco.

Very recently a Dutch specialist restored it to its original condition. The process involved rebuilding both original Chris-Craft MCL engines, the Chris-O-Matic transmission, and the red and white stripes you see today. In 2014, the current owner purchased it and returned it to its home port. The Monaco Boat Service has been regularly looking after its upkeep, and it remains ready to use and enjoy at a moment’s notice.

It would be an understatement to say that it’s a prized and cherished possession of Monégasque history. More than that, it’s also a symbol of glamour, wealth, sheer opulence. And there is perhaps no boat more glamorous and more opulent than the Via. The Prince and Grace are long gone now, of course. But the Via continues to keep them alive, at least in spirit.

There might never be a prince as dashing and debonair as Prince Rainier III. And there might never be a Princess as iconic as beloved film star Grace Kelly. But this boat stands today ready for anyone’s taking.

Sunseeker Hawk 38

You can use the Sunseeker Hawk 38 as a full-on boat or as a tender. Either way, it offers high-speed roams on the water.

Underneath the sleek body there are twin Mercury R400 outboard motors that’s got enough power to make it zoom as fast as 62 knots, or 70 mph across the water. At a whopping 38 feet in length, it’s on the larger side. But that means you have plenty of space onboard, including, even, a sunbathing area.

The U-shaped seating, which faces the aft, features a quick-release table. Perfect for al fresco dining and quick card games as you wade across great lakes. Forward-facing seats are also available, located behind the helm.

Speaking of the helm, you’ll be please to know there’s a Simrad navigation system built-in. Paired with Mercury Racing Digital Zero Effort throttles, speed and performance are of no concern here, obviously. The hull has been optimized to include the latest outboard engine technology. That means a handful of performance benefits and low-cost maintenance for boat owners.

Finally, the Sunseeker Hawk 38 comes with a choice of paint finishes and upholstery. There are plenty of customization options to make sure no two Hawk 38 units will ever be alike. Here’s Sunseeker CEO Christian Marti on the Hawk 38:

“Now is the perfect time for a high-performance day boat, designed engineered and built to exacting standards; the all-new Hawk 38 will deliver an experience like nothing else in the market.”

If the Hawk 38 isn’t your cup of tea, you can check out Sunseeker’s Sport Yacht, Predator, or Mahantaan on its website.

Paritetboat Looker 370 Glass Bottom Boat

The Looker 370, Partiteboat’s latest addition to its excellent fleet of glass bottom boats, is a feature-packed ride that goes easy on your pockets.

In terms of aesthetics, the newest ride borrows the graceful elegance of its bigger sibling, the Looker 440GB. Not only that, but it also carries over the seaworthiness, comfort, passenger capacity, and the utility. The best part? You get all that for the price of a practical base model Looker 320.

As for propulsion customization, you can pick between two options. Select from either the two outboard engines or go for just one inboard diesel. In this regard, the Looker 370 is the most cost-effective glass bottom boat solution. Especially when it comes to passenger capacity and speed.

The boat is made from a special sea aluminum alloy that is corrosion resistant. And since this is a glass bottom boat, you’ll find a large glass viewing bottom area for spectacular views of the sea. The glass is made from ultra-durable modified acrylic that’s apparently far more robust than fiberglass. Translation: it’s nearly impossible to break. There are bow seats round the glass for passengers, as well.

The Looker 370 is able to accommodate up to 30 passengers. Options include a storage room, a toilet room, a sink, a rain awning, and a bow anchor device. You can also get an additional 250-liter fuel tank, marine battery, navigation lights, and a number of GPS systems.

The Looker 370 glass bottom boat is now available for sale. Hit up Paritetboat’s website for more details on equipment, specs, and layout.
