Protec’s Q18 Expanding Motorhome is the world’s first mobile home with slide-outs for the whole body length and on both sides. Going from a width of 7.5 ft to 11.5 ft at the push of a button, the innovative motorhome keeps its body compact on the road while opening up to offer a larger living space when camping.
Based on the Iveco Daily chassis, the 26 ft vehicle is powered by a 3.0-L turbo-diesel engine with a six-speed manual transmission, producing 180-hp and 317 lb-ft of torque sent to the rear wheels.
Traction control, electronic stability control, and cruise control come also as standard, while optional features include a rear differential locker, eight-speed automatic transmission, adjustable pneumatic suspension and Bluetooth satellite navigation.
Up to eight people can sleep inside the Q18, while a convertible dinette set and full kitchen with 3-burner cooktop, 160-L fridge with freezer, sink, and large countertop ensure occupants are well taken care of.
Other cool features include a central hot water heating system, 290-L fresh water tank & 260-L waste water tank, 230V electrical system with 160Ah AGM battery, LED lighting, and an LCD control center. And if that’s not enough, the folks at Protec can fit your motorhome with optional bits like AC, satellite TV, and solar power, plus other custom configurations to keep any camper happy.
