KithKith x New Balance 997.5 White Marshmallow Angora
As part of the brand’s annual Easter New Balance capsule, Kith designed a creamy tonal 997.5 that may be the best all-white New Balance ever. The premium Made in the USA model has layers of tumbled pebble grain leather, fine suede, course suede, nylon mesh and smooth leather. It sits on the latest evolution of the Abzorb heel block support system. It is available exclusively through the Kith app.
Singer ReimaginedSinger Reimagined Heritage Collection
Singer Reimagined, the horological arm of acclaimed Porsche modifier Singer Vehicle Design, is mostly known for its highly technical and avant-garde modern chronographs. But for its Heritage Collection, the brand looks to the past. The Heritage Collection Chronograph is powered by a restored and reworked vintage Valjoux 236, a hand-wound, column-wheel chronograph engine from the ’70s that Singer retro-modded. The old-school calibre powers a handsome two-register chronograph with a sunray-finished 38mm stainless steel case. Available in black or green and limited to 100 pieces total, the Heritage Collection Chronograph is priced at CHF 16,700 (~$18,960).
Wittman EstesWittman Estes Puzzle Prefab
According to Wittman Estes, most prefab houses are “divorced from context.” So the Seattle-based architecture firm designed just the opposite: the Puzzle Prefab, a modular housing solution that can be configured to specific site needs. The first expression of it, situated in Whidbey Island, WA, nestles into the surrounding landscape, with literally half of the floor plan defined as outdoor space. Pricing for the project cost around $600 per square foot, with more sites on the way throughout the Pacific Northwest.
