We found out the McLaren P1 would cease production a while back, but that didn’t stop the folks at McLaren Special Operations from turning one of the 375 road-legal hypercars into a showpiece for the Geneva motor show. The custom P1 features a visible carbon fiber finish, with Lio Blue tinted lacquer giving some color separation.
Blue tinted and hand-laid carbon fiber isn’t enough of a farewell to the most exotic McLaren to date, so the folks at MSO stepped up the interior with blue stitching and black ultrasuede Alcantara coverings, then topped off the exterior with gloss black wheels.

Since the P1 was the spiritual successor of the famed McLaren F1, MSO thought it would be good to include 24-kt gold foil heat shielding on this special P1 as an homage to the past. We like it, but we also love the F1.
With production over for this McLaren, it will be interesting to see what kind of monster will take its place as the jewel in McLaren’s crown. Only time will tell, but until then we will be happily kept at bay with more special editions of the ultra-rare P1.
