Venerated German watchmaker Hanhart (est. 1882) is known for its precise, highly-legible, and robust timepieces that also happen to be affordably priced. Their latest is the Pioneer One, inspired by an iconic 50s pilot watch, used by the German Air Force and worn by of the manliest men in history–Steve McQueen.
Paying tribute to the extremely-rare Hanhart Chronograph 417, the watch features a timeless design with a stainless steel 42 mm case boasting a bidirectional rotating coin-edge bezel with a red marking placed at 12 o’clock. Under the anti-reflective sapphire glass is a black or white dial with Super-LumiNova-coated Arabic numerals and a date window at 3 o’clock, while the movement inside is a Swiss-made automatic Sellita SW 200 with a power reserve of 38 hours.
The beautiful wrist piece comes on a brown calfskin strap with riveting and is water-resistant to 100 m.
