As smartphone manufacturers come up with new innovations, consumers get to enjoy increased performance, improved battery life, slimmer frames, and even bigger screens. All of the aforementioned details can be found on most modern and upcoming handsets from AAA brands. However, for some of us, nothing can ever measure up to the tactile feel of pressing a physical button. That’s why the Blackberry KEY2 stands out from the rest.

Haptic feedback can only do so much to emulate the experience, but if you want an old-school feature alongside all the modern bells and whistles, you might want to check out the BlackBerry KEY2. Fans of the brand were excited to learn that it finally embraced the Android platform back then. However, the Priv did not really create a blazing trail for succeeding models to follow. Even though it features a full QWERTY keypad, users presumably didn’t like the hybrid nature of its design.

Following the footsteps of the KEYone, The BlackBerry KEY2 brings back the familiar form factor users know and love. Everything about the design screams premium and business. It sports an angular top edge that eventually curves on the bottom of the aluminum alloy frame. You have a 4.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen (sorry no AMOLED panel here) with a 1620 x 1080 display resolution. Meanwhile, scratches are a minimal threat thanks to Corning’s Gorilla Glass technology. The rear cover touts a diamond pattern texture to improve your grip during use.

BlackBerry opted to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM for this unit. You can choose between 64GB and 128GB models that are available in Black or Silver. The KEY2 is powered by a 3,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
