Paying tribute to their historic CK 2998 watch from 1959, Omega has just released the 2018 Speedmaster CK 2998, a tastefully designed limited edition timepiece that has all the ingredients to become a hot seller.
With a dial dressed in a “panda” color combo (a fancy way of describing black subdials against a white dial), the watch features a 39.7mm polished stainless steel case with blackened Alpha-shaped hour and minute hands. The pulsometer bezel (used to check a person’s heartbeats per minute) is a not to the original model, while a red second hand and matching “Speedmaster” logo on the dial add a touch of color to the overall black & white theme.
Complete with a sporty black micro-perforated leather strap with white rubber lining, the new CK 2998 is powered by a manually-wound caliber 1861 movement with a 48-hour power reserve, and is limited to 2998 pieces.
